The Telegraph article 27 Jan 2007:

The Datca peninsula

The Turkish coast still has some gorgeous, unspoilt stretches. A good example is the Datca peninsula. Several specialist tour operators have expanded their programmes to cover this almost insular, rugged finger of land, with its pine forests and olive groves, traditional villages and empty beaches. Recent improvements to the road connecting the peninsula with the outside world have shortened airport transfers significantly

The Guardian Saturday January 21 2006

...I'd say Turkey is positively good for your health - especially if you happen to stay on the unspoilt Datca peninsula, where the oxygen-rich air is said to be the secret of the locals' longevity. That, and the rugged pine-covered hills, olive groves and almond trees, the gorgeous aquamarine sea, the organic honey, fresh fish, pomegranates, figs and red wine - all good stuff for body and soul.
